The last woman the Prophet ﷺ married, in connection with the pilgrimage the Muslims made to Makkah in 7 AH under the terms of the Hudaybiyyah treaty. The sources disagree over whether he was in the state of ihram at the time. She died decades later at Sarif, the place where the marriage had taken place.

The Muslims returned to Makkah that year under the terms agreed at Hudaybiyyah, in a visit usually called Umrat al-Qada — the compensatory pilgrimage, made up for the one they had been turned back from the year before.
The sources differ over whether he was in the state of ihram at the time of the marriage
One widely carried report, from Ibn Abbas, states that he married her while in ihram. Other reports, including ones traced to Maymunah herself and to Abu Rafi, describe the marriage contract as made once he had left the ihram state. The question is not settled, and some scholars have tried to reconcile the reports by distinguishing the contract from the wedding itself.

Before the marriage
Maymunah was of Banu Hilal ibn Amir ibn Sa'sa'ah. She had been married before, more than once, and was widowed before her marriage to the Prophet ﷺ.
She was related to several other people who appear elsewhere in this app's household: her sister Umm al-Fadl was married to al-Abbas, the Prophet's ﷺ uncle, and her nephew was Abdullah ibn Abbas, who later described nights spent at her house.
The marriage, and her death
She was married to the Prophet ﷺ in connection with the pilgrimage the Muslims made to Makkah in 7 AH, under the terms agreed at Hudaybiyyah. Whether he was in the state of ihram when the marriage was contracted is a question the sources do not agree on; it is set out on its own below.
She was his last wife. She died at Sarif, on the road between Makkah and Madinah — the same place where the marriage had taken place.
