Uqbah ibn Aamir is the one through whom a well-known hadith about archery reaches us.
He reported that the Prophet ﷺ, referring to the Qur'an's instruction to prepare whatever strength could be mustered against an enemy, said — repeating it three times — that strength meant archery.
The report became one of the foundations later scholars pointed to for the standing of archery among the Muslims, and it travelled forward attached to Uqbah's own name as its narrator.
