Archer and reciter
Uqbah ibn Aamir, of Juhaynah, was closely associated with archery from within the Prophet's ﷺ own lifetime, transmitting more than one hadith on the subject that later scholars relied on.
He was also remembered as an accomplished reciter of the Qur'an, and became one of the companions later generations turned to for a wide range of hadith.
Egypt
He settled in Egypt following its conquest and remained there for much of the rest of his life, later being appointed its governor.
The sources do not agree closely enough on the year of his death for one to be given here.
