Makkah
Fatimah bint al-Khattab was of Banu Adi, the sister of Umar ibn al-Khattab and the wife of her cousin Sa'id ibn Zayd. She and Sa'id accepted Islam in the early years, before Umar did.
What happened when Umar came to their house is set out in full on the Umar ibn al-Khattab record and is not repeated here. What belongs to this record is that Fatimah and her husband had already accepted Islam, and were keeping it from a brother who had not — until the day that changed.
