The Muhajirun
المهاجرون
The Emigrants — those who left Makkah and migrated to Madinah for the sake of their faith.
The Hijrah was a migration, and it cost people almost everything they owned. The Muhajirun arrived in Madinah as guests with very little, and were received by the Ansar. Nearly every early Makkan Muslim you will meet in SahabaMate belongs to this group, which is why it is a useful second lens after the Early Muslims.
The Muhajirun were a large group. SahabaMate currently holds entries for a small number of them.
